Arts Fund for East Tennessee

General Description

Serves as a source of funds to support excellence in the arts, expand access to the arts, and connect artists with each other and with East Tennessee communities

General Eligibility

In 2022, the Arts Fund focused its grantmaking on celebrating our region’s richness in artistic expressions and cultural diversity. Grants were awarded to sustain diverse cultural traditions and to encourage all forms of artistic expression.
Preference was given to:
– Organizations whose projects extend art opportunities to underserved populations such as through outreach efforts;
– Public art displays and performances that are designed to bring the arts into the everyday lives of the general public;
– Grassroots organizations; and
– Projects that celebrate the arts and cultures of historically underrepresented communities.

Application Process

The next grant cycle will launch in 2024.

Grant Amounts and Terms

Grants were awarded for two-year terms in July 2022 and ranged from $2,700 – $12,000.

Who May Apply

General Eligibility and Funding Criteria

Additional eligibility criteria specific to the Arts Fund:

  • Art organizations or organizations that incorporate art-related programming must be located in and serve communities in ETF’s 25-county service area
