Pat Summitt Foundation Fund

General Description

Awards grants to nonprofit organizations that advance research for treatment and a cure, provide care and support for patients and caregivers, and educate the public about Alzheimer’s disease

General Eligibility

General Eligibility and Funding Criteria

Additional Eligibility specific to the Pat Summitt Foundation Fund:

  • Projects must involve direct and immediate Alzheimer’s patient care and/or caregiver support.
  • Projects that are exclusively research based with no direct and immediate impact on Alzheimer’s patient care and/or caregiver support are not eligible.
  • If the organization is a chapter of a national organization:
    • The chapter must be located in and directly serve residents of Tennessee;
    • All grant funds must be spent in and solely benefit residents of Tennessee.
  • Faith-based organizations may apply.
  • We encourage applicant organizations to exercise creativity and think outside of the box in
    terms of their project or program and how it will benefit those impacted by
    Alzheimer’s/Dementia.

Application Process

Information and dates about the 2023 grant cycle have not yet been determined.

Grant Amounts and Terms

Grants were awarded in November 2022 for one-year terms. The grant term is November 1, 2022 – October 31, 2023. Grant amounts ranged from $11,000 – $30,000.
