East Tennessee Foundation (ETF) has now mobilized nearly $1.3 million in grant awards to date from funds held by the Foundation for COVID-19 related causes as part of its #COVIDgiveWhereYouLive campaign. This includes grant recommendations made by fundholders of donor advised funds, field-of-interest funds, affiliate funds, and ETF’s Neighbor to Neighbor Disaster Relief Fund (N2N).
Nationally, U.S. community foundations have helped those impacted by COVID-19 with more than $2 billion to support on-the-ground efforts by nonprofits. This figure includes funds managed by nearly 600 community foundations that have provided data as part of an ongoing study by the Community Foundation Public Awareness Initiative of grantmaking activities during COVID-19.
ETF has raised over $1 million for N2N. Since making our first grant on March 19, the Foundation has made grants totaling over $541,000 to nonprofit organizations serving 28 counties from this fund alone.
We know all nonprofits in our community have been affected in some way and we continue to work diligently to exercise flexibility and ease requirements for our grant recipients, past and present. In addition to the grants listed below, we have awarded grants to organizations applying for COVID-19 related assistance from other qualifying funds as available.
