Valkyrie-Thor Scholarship in Theatre Arts Fund

Purpose and History

Established in 2016 to recognize and assist students studying acting, costume design, lighting design, scenic design, directing, stage craft, theatre history, dramatic literature, or theatre studies for teacher licensure

Scholarship Amount

Up to $5,000 for a one-year award, depending on the number of recipients

Eligibility

  • Residency Requirement: East Tennessee Foundation 25 county service area
  • Education Requirement: Graduating high school seniors or current students at Pellissippi State Community College, Roane State Community College, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, or Maryville College
  • Field of Study: Acting, costume design, lighting design, scenic design, directing, stage craft, theatre history, dramatic literature, or theatre studies for teacher licensure
  • GPA Minimum: 3.0
  • College/Enrollment Requirement: Full-time enrollment at Pellissippi State Community College, Roane State Community College, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, or Maryville College
  • Must demonstrate financial need
